Hey All!
We pray your summer is going well. We were able to take some pictures
of the team one afternoon before everyone headed home. Here’s a picture of the
team on the Bandstand at the square in Stanberry.
We had a wonderful time with family and friends during our Year End Celebration
Service. Bro. Wayne Bascue was able to attend the services and close them in
prayer. He is a Brother who attends services here in Stanberry and has become a
great-grandfather to all of us youngsters here at LITES. Sister Christine
Griffie came from Topeka, Kansas and hung out with us until Sunday afternoon.
She was a staff member for 2 ½ years, and has been in Topeka for the past two
years.
Things here have quieted down since most of the students have returned home.
Philip Leach, Tim Howell, Bryan Cleeton and I stayed here along with Pastor
Melvin and Sister Sweet. Larry went to California for his parents’, Roy and
Alvina Marrs’ 50th wedding anniversary. He returned home on Monday. Others of us
here are still going to make trips out of state but until then we are using the
free time to find work for the summer and to do some resting before getting
ready for the next LITES year.
We appreciate your prayers for the ministry here in Stanberry and ask that you
would join us in praying for those who God would call to be here this next term.
We are excited about what God is doing and how He is growing us to be more
efficient in helping young people grow more intimate with Him and more mature in
Christ’s character.
May God continue to bless His work in His church everywhere and may we be tools
and vessels for His glory. Praise Him!
