We wish you were here! We’ve been having a blast during our first two weeks.
Classes have been going very well, and we’ve had several projects to work on in
the afternoons.
We’ve covered a lot of ground in class. We’ve been taking a closer look at
Isaac, Jacob and Joseph in Genesis. We’ve been looking at worship and what it
means to live focused on Christ rather than ourselves. We’ve also been
discussing God’s unconditional love and how that allows us to move out of shame
and bitterness from our past into greater spiritual freedom. God’s love is
amazing! He has truly made it possible to live out of love for Him and in close
relationship with Him.
Another highlight has been our Tuesday afternoon service projects. Last week we
visited Sister Shirlene Manion. We enjoyed spending the afternoon talking and
getting to know one another better. This week we visited Opal Kelly and worked
on cleaning her house, porch, siding and gutters, as well as sealing holes and
moving furniture. We had some good food afterward, too! Debbie Steinhauser has
been coordinating our service projects and has been doing a great job.
