Programs - Third Year
Description...
The Third year program is available to any student who has completed the
second year program and desires to continue growing in maturity and further
deepen their personal walk with Jesus Christ in a discipleship-type atmosphere.
A third-year student will begin taking more practical steps toward their
individual calling from God as it continues to become clearer.
Admission to the third-year program is dependant on the approval of LITES
staff in response to a student’s statement of intent to participate.
Curriculum...
Curriculum is tailor made to each individual student and may include training
from outside sources, such as COG7 Ministries Training System, Ministries
Training Institute, The Institute for Christian Biblical Counseling, etc.
Ministry opportunities will also be sought out that are in line with the
individual’s specific calling and that will further prepare them for leadership
in that area. These may include:
Speaking opportunities
Leading worship services
Participating in peer mentoring
Working on various clerical, janitorial, kitchen, maintenance, and/or
transportation activities in support of the ministry that encourage use of
the students individual gifts/talents
Participating in leadership of Sabbath services of the local church
under the direction of the local pastor
Participating in leadership of various camps, retreats, etc
The third year program still includes the disciplines of:
Daily Bible Reading
Daily devotional reading
Selected readings, practicum, and independent studies
Scripture Memory
Journaling
Mentoring
The third year program also includes the possibility of (a) student(s)
being sent out to minister in other settings. These opportunities could include:
Mission Trips
“Job Shadowing” a church leader or ministry director
Touring with a prepared message to present to a variety of audiences
Cost...
Cost for the third year is $3500 and negotiated depending on the needs of the
ministry and the student’s contributions through service and leadership.
